    FEEDING GUIDELINES

    The feeding chart below is a rough guideline for an active adult dog. Every animal will metabolize food at a different rate. Activity level, breed, and age are just a few factors that affect nutrient requirements for your pet.

    *The amount of nuggets that will fill a 1 cup measuring cup will vary for each scoop because the space between nuggets is not consistent.

    We ship frozen orders out Mon-Thurs in order of shipping radius. Our shipping facility is in Tulsa, OK. Orders that have a 4 day transit time ship out first on Mondays, followed by orders that have a transit time of 3 days on Tuesday/Wednesday, and orders with a transit of 1 to 2 days are shipped on Wednesday/Thursday. Orders are delivered between Thursday-Saturday.

    There are 40 patties weighing 8 oz each in a 20-pound bulk box.

    Bags of nuggets are packaged by weight and not by number of cups, so cups of nuggets may vary slightly per bag. You get approximately:

    • 16-18 cups from our 20 oz freeze-dried bags
    • 20 cups from our frozen 5 lb bags of nuggets
    • 5-8 cups from our Quest cat food

    If your pet has never eaten a raw diet, you will to transition them gradually to the new food by  mixing their current diet with the new food. Check out our transitioning guide with tips and tricks on transitioning to raw.

    Frozen raw should remain cold until ready to thaw and serve. Food safe temps are 40 degrees or colder.

    Freeze-dried raw should be stored in a cool, dark area like a pantry or cupboard.

    Dogs won’t eat

    The parties are all stuck together and very hard to separate. My dogs likes the freeze dried Turducken but won’t eat the frozen, maybe something off in it??? Idk other than it was expensive and my dog won’t eat it

    Thanks for giving our food a try! I'm sorry to hear your dog didn't take to it. We offer a wide variety of proteins and your pup may prefer one over the other. You can try leaving the food on the counter 30-60 minutes prior to feeding to warm it to room temperature or add some warm water or broth to the food to bring out the smell and flavor, making meals more enticing for picky eaters.     Turducken patties

    Before my order came I bought the beef chunks at local pet store my girl loved it, then the turducken came in the flat patties she isn’t to impressed I’m not sure if it’s texture or taste she is usually not even close to being a picky eater but I’ve had to add fresh turkey or ground beef with it at times. I will continue to buy this brand as it helped immediately with the runs my mastiff was struggling with for over a week, however I’ll get the beef chunks my next order thank you

    Great food. Please find another insulation materail

    This is our first online purchase of Steve's dog food. We are very pleased with the quality and our dog loves it. The one thing that would make it better is using insulation that can be recycled. We buy raw food from another company as well and they pack it in a paper insulation that works perfectly well and is easily recycled. Thanks.
